Industrial lighting for the offshore sector
Maintenance of lighting is an important cost factor in the offshore industry. On the one hand this is because drilling platforms, production platforms and vessels are difficult to reach. On the other hand this is due to the strict requirements applicable to lighting on these extreme locations. Often, for instance, lighting systems must not only be explosion proof, robust, sustainable, maintenance free and provide a pleasant working light. They must strictly comply with international guidelines as well.
All-round and complete
Since day one, the offshore industry has been the business sector where IMT is best at home. Apart from general lighting, IMT also delivers dedicated lighting here. This is why IMT is able to provide complete lighting packages for helicopter decks, for instance. The lighting is resistant against explosions, vibrations, water, salt, et cetera. Apart from this, the lighting systems of IMT comply with international guidelines (ICAO, IALA, ATEX, CAP 437 and FAA).
IMT also anticipates new developments. For instance, the green perimeter lighting for helicopter decks, that will become mandatory as of January 1st 2009, is already available as a standard product.
